I don't know about you, but I learn best by seeing and doing.
I offer class-demonstrations teaching how-to's. Most of my class-demonstrations are hands-on so you get to experience personally those "how-to's". Class-demos are available in the Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama gulf coast and surrounding areas.
Beginners Milling Grains & Bread Class
- Learn the why's & how's of milling your own grains & beans, why they are so nutritional, why fresh milled grains are needed by the body, equipment needed and other supplies. This is a semi-hands-on class packed full of information. English Muffins will be served along with demonstrating how to make, with the same dough: loaf bread, dinner rolls & cinnamon rolls. Of course we will taste everything we make.
Beyond the Loaf
- This is a full hands-on class making pita bread & chips and soft pretzels. We will eat stuff and eat our creations in class. Fats will be the added topic of discussion.
Let's talk Pasta
- This is a full hands-on class making basic pasta dough along with spinach pasta, raviolis, linguine and more. We will enjoy our delicious pastas served up with homemade marinara sauce. This is a great class for a couples date night.
Canning & Freezing - Food Preservation
- Learn the basics of food preservation with canning and freezing, equipment & supplies needed. We will use the water-bath method as well as the pressure-canning method. This is a hands-on class
