Sweets

Sometimes you just need something sweet!

Skip the processed stuff.  Yes, there is another way.
Let's make those SWEETS from wholesome, good-for-you ingredients.

Desserts are best in moderation, but when you need to satisfy that sweet-tooth, then try one of these healthier confections.  You will feel good about feeding them to your family.

Recipes coming.

Healthier Treats - is there such a thing?

Desert doesn't have to be a "house of cards" with nothing inside, nor does it have to taste like cardboard.  It can be healthier and delicious at the same time.

Yes, yes, sugar is sugar, but what kind of sugar?  How about the flour and the other ingredients?  Real fruit?  You know - the kind of ingredients that your body knows what to do with, not chemicals and artificial.  I'm talking about REAL food; all of which were created with nutrients to nourish our bodies.  And yes, even sugar in it's natural state has something to offer.  The point is, even sweets can be made with ingredients that can benefit the body.  I'd also like to say that when you eat real food that is full of nutrition one doesn't tend to eat as much because the body will be satisfied, i.e. 3 cookies versus 12.  Also, as you learn to eat with less sugar the body learns it doesn't need that much "sweet".
